It runs on 12 volts, uses R134a refrigerant, and has a 4.7-inch (119 mm) 8-groove poly V-belt clutch with a GH (horizontal pad) head. These compressors are commonly found on the engine side of the HVAC system in commercial trucks, circulating refrigerant to the cab’s evaporator. You typically replace it when you have a seized clutch, internal failure, bearing noise, or a leak at the shaft seal, and you always replace the receiver-drier and flush the system afterwards.
