HIGH PRESSURE AC SWITCH

This is a high-pressure air conditioning system switch for Navistar International trucks. It is located in the A/C refrigerant line and monitors pressure to protect the compressor and condenser. When pressure rises to approximately 375 psi, the normally open switch closes to engage the condenser fan or cut off the compressor; it opens again when pressure drops to around 205 psi. Replacement is typically needed when the A/C system shows erratic cooling, compressor clutch cycling problems, or if the switch develops a refrigerant leak.
