It monitors refrigerant pressure on the high side of the A/C system and cuts off the compressor clutch if pressure gets too high (opens at 300 psi) to protect the compressor from damage. When pressure drops back to a safe level (closes at 260 psi), it allows the compressor to re-engage. It has a normally closed electrical configuration and metric M10 x 1.25 threads.
