It monitors refrigerant pressure on the low side of the A/C system and interrupts the compressor clutch when pressure falls below a safe threshold, protecting the compressor from damage caused by low refrigerant. This switch is a direct replacement for Mack OEM part numbers 20779144 and 1MR3550M2. Installing a new pressure switch restores proper compressor cycling and reliable cab cooling.
