Receiver

This is an air conditioning receiver drier for Freightliner and Western Star heavy‑duty trucks. It sits on the high‑pressure side of the A/C system, filtering out moisture, metal particles, and other debris from the refrigerant. By holding a reserve of clean, dry refrigerant, it prevents ice‑up and corrosion in the expansion valve or orifice tube. It is replaced whenever the A/C system is opened for service, when the compressor fails, or if the desiccant inside becomes saturated.
