Western Star 4700

4700

The accessible vocational Star.

Unveiled on March 8, 2011 at the Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, the 4700 was Western Star's lighter, lower-cost vocational series slotted beneath the heavier 4900, covering gross weights from 33,000 to 64,000 pounds for dump, mixer, plow, roll-off and sewer-vac work. It launched with the shortest bumper-to-back-of-cab dimension in its class at 110 inches and was offered in both set-back (4700SB) and set-forward (4700SF) steer-axle layouts.
