The e16 is the Class 4 entry in Daimler Truck's all-electric RIZON medium-duty lineup, launched in 2023 and sold exclusively through Velocity Vehicle Group; built on the Mitsubishi Fuso eCanter cabover platform, it carries a 15,995 lb GVWR that keeps it well under the 26,001 lb threshold requiring a commercial driver's license. It comes in two battery flavors -- the e16M with two packs (about 82 kWh, 75-110 miles) and the e16L with three packs (about 124 kWh, up to 160 miles) -- both driven by the same 175 hp / 129 kW motor making 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) of torque.
