This is a right-hand S-camshaft for heavy-duty trailer air brake systems. The rotating S-shaped cam spreads the brake shoes against the drum when you apply the brakes. It is used on Meritor Q-Plus 16-1/2-inch trailer brakes and equivalent axles. You replace the camshaft when the splines become worn, the cam head wears out, or the shaft no longer rotates smoothly to ensure reliable brake performance.
Right-hand orientation. Verify axle model and brake size (16-1/2") before ordering.
