Designed for Meritor Q Plus, Q, and P type 16.5-inch drum brakes on trailer axles with fabricated spiders and bolt-on bushings. Replacement is needed when the cam head wears flat, the splines strip, or the shaft becomes bent or seized, which can cause uneven braking or pull.
