It automatically adjusts air pressure in the suspension air springs to keep the trailer at a constant, correct ride height regardless of load. The built-in differential dump feature allows the suspension air to be quickly exhausted when the trailer is parked or when the dump valve is activated, which is helpful for loading/unloading or maintenance. Typically replaced when the suspension sags, fails to maintain ride height, or when air leaks from the valve.
