TORQUE ROD

A heavy-duty torque rod (also called a control arm or torsion bar) that connects the axle to the truck frame, preventing axle wrap and wheel hop while keeping the suspension geometry in check. It is designed for IHC and Ford trucks with IROS air or Corporate 4-spring transverse suspension systems. The rod is non-rebushable with straddle-style ends, zero-degree offsets, and a 25-3/8 inch center-to-center length. Replace it when the bushings are worn or the rod is bent—common signs include clunking noises, uneven tire wear, vibration, or wandering steering.
