It includes a pair of brake shoes pre-lined with friction material rated for 23,000 lb axles, ready to bolt into Meritor Q Plus brake assemblies. The Q Plus design allows quick shoe changes without removing the brake drum, and the Platinum Shield III coating helps protect against rust-jacking. You replace these when the friction lining wears down to the minimum thickness, or when you see cracking, glazing, or uneven wear.
