ME206
The ME206 is a pneumatic actuator that opens and closes 2-inch or 3-inch threaded internal valves on cargo tanks, commonly used on LPG bobtails and transport trucks. It uses air from the vehicle's brake system or a remote supply to smoothly open the valve via a cam mechanism, and automatically closes the valve when the air pressure is released. A built-in thermal plug melts at 212°F to close the valve in a fire, providing an automatic safety shutoff. Replace the actuator if it fails to open or close the valve, shows signs of corrosion on the stainless steel frame, or if the diaphragm leaks.
Fits 2-inch and 3-inch threaded internal valves on bobtail or transport tanks. Not a direct replacement for a specific truck model; it is used on the cargo tank piping system.
