It is a right-hand wound spring used on Maxon TE-33 and MXT-25-33 liftgates to counterbalance the platform and assist smooth raising and lowering. Typically installed on the left (driver) side of the liftgate. Replace it if the liftgate becomes hard to open or close, or if you notice sagging on one side.
