SPRING PIN MACK

This is a spring pin (also called a shackle pin) for the front leaf spring suspension on many Mack heavy-duty truck models. It secures the leaf spring eye to the frame bracket or shackle, allowing the spring to pivot as the suspension moves. When the pin and its bushing wear, you may hear clunking or feel looseness, leading to uneven tire wear and poor steering control. Replacement is recommended whenever there is noticeable play or during a spring bushing overhaul.
