M1116
The M1116 is a trunnion shaft designed for the tandem (walking beam) suspension on heavy-duty Mack trucks. It acts as the central pivot point for the equalizing beams, allowing the rear axles to articulate and maintain traction over rough terrain. Measuring 3-1/2 inches in diameter and 4 inches in length, this shaft is part of the SS38-44 suspension series and comes with two A846 bushings. Replacement is typically required when the shaft or bushings become worn, which can cause sloppy suspension movement, axle misalignment, and irregular tire wear.
Shaft dimensions are 3-1/2" diameter x 4" length. Verify your suspension series and shaft measurements before ordering. Typically found on various Mack CH, CL, and similar vocational models.
