A service (blue) gladhand coupler with an integrated shut-off valve. It connects the tractor's service air line to the trailer, delivering air to the trailer brakes. The shut-off allows the driver to isolate the trailer air supply without uncoupling the gladhand, which is useful for yard spotting or when a trailer is dropped. Replace if the rubber seal is cracked, the shut-off lever is damaged, or there is an air leak that cannot be fixed by seal replacement.
Service side (blue) gladhand; fits any standard SAE J318 style coupler. Not for emergency (red) lines.
