It is used to properly press the rear main oil seal into the engine block without damage during replacement. The tool is typically needed when the rear crankshaft seal is leaking, which can cause oil loss and clutch or flywheel contamination. It's an aftermarket alternative to the OEM Paccar installer 1453185-2.
