The equalizer connects the suspension walking beams to balance load between the axles, while the included hanger provides the mounting point for the equalizer to the trailer frame, typically in the center undermount position. You replace this assembly when the original equalizer or hanger is bent, cracked, or has worn bushing eyes. The kit includes the equalizer (Automann EQ019 or equivalent) and a center hanger, ready to bolt or weld onto the trailer.
