It replaces the worn rubber bushing inside the torque arm, which links the axle to the frame to absorb vibration and keep the axle aligned. Over time, the original bushing can crack or wear out, causing clunking, loose handling, and uneven tire wear; replacing it restores ride quality and extends tire life. The kit typically includes a new rubber bushing and a washer.
