It bolts to the wheel hub with a 6-bolt pattern, sealing the hub to retain grease and block water, dirt, and road contaminants. The built-in, patented venting system relieves internal pressure and vacuum while protecting the wheel end, which helps prevent seal damage and premature bearing wear. It is typically replaced when the original cap is cracked, missing, or when the hub is being serviced.
