It controls both parking and emergency brake functions by using the trailer's service reservoirs to release the spring brakes. The valve includes integral pressure protection and check valves to isolate reservoir failures, preventing automatic spring brake application. It replaces old PR-3 and SR-2 valves and features anti-compounding to prevent simultaneous service and spring brake application.
