SLACK ADJUSTER 10SPL 3-HOLE EVEN

The ACF6404-903 is a manual slack adjuster for heavy-duty air brake systems. It has a 10-spline internal bore to fit onto a camshaft (typically 1.5 inches in diameter) and a clevis arm with three evenly spaced holes for manual adjustment of brake slack. The slack adjuster transfers force from the brake chamber to the S-cam that spreads the brake shoes, and periodic manual adjustment is needed to maintain proper brake clearance. Replacement is required when the adjuster is seized, splines are worn, or the adjustment mechanism no longer holds.
