It joins two lengths of SAE J844 Type A or B nylon air brake tubing together in a straight line, using internal grab rings and an o-ring seal to create a leak-free connection without the need for wrenches or ferrule compression. Common reasons for replacement include cracked or corroded original fittings, air line repairs, or system upgrades. Lighter than traditional compression brass fittings and exceeds DOT FMVSS 571.106 pressure requirements.
