This is a manually operated 2-way air valve with a knob, typically installed in the cab or on a control panel of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and buses. It sends a pilot air signal to suspension dump valves or other air accessories—when you turn the knob one way it supplies pressure, and turning it the other way vents the signal. The valve is self-relieving, so it automatically exhausts the downstream air when shut off, preventing trapped pressure. Replace it if the valve leaks, becomes hard to turn, or fails to maintain pressure, which can cause unintended suspension operation.
