This is a ZF vane-type power steering pump designed for 2002-2008 GMC and Chevrolet medium-duty trucks, including C4500–C8500 and Kodiak/Topkick models with Caterpillar C6, C7, C8, or 3126 diesel engines. It generates hydraulic pressure to assist steering effort. You would replace your original pump when you experience hard steering, fluid leaks, whining noises, or complete pump failure. This remanufactured unit has a 190 BAR pressure relief valve and does not include the reservoir.
Requires Caterpillar C6, C7, C8, or 3126 engine. Always verify engine code and pump mount configuration before ordering.
