Replace the drum when the friction surface reaches the maximum wear diameter of 16.62 inches or shows cracking, heat checking, or excessive out-of-round. The drum uses a 0.50-inch thick back plate and mounts with 5 or 6 wheel bolts (0.78- or 0.66-inch holes) on an 11.00-inch bolt circle.
