Designed for tank trailers already equipped with ROMLink harnesses. This CivaStar ROMLink kit requires changing both the probe and cap together; it is not a direct plug-compatible replacement for older-style ROMLink probes or caps if those are being replaced individually.

It is an optical sensor that mounts on top of a tank trailer and uses a light beam to detect when liquid hits the preset level, sending a signal to the overfill protection system. You would replace your old ROMLink probe and cap with this kit when upgrading to the newer CivaStar design, or if the sensor fails, becomes physically damaged, or no longer passes the diagnostic check. The Plug-N-Load feature makes installation quick because the probe height is already factory-set and no manual height adjustment is needed.
