It mounts between tank truck flanged butterfly valves, giving you a clear visual window to check the fuel grade (gasoline, diesel, up to E100 and B100 biofuels) before opening the valve. This indicator is used on fuel delivery tank trailers, crude trailers, and gas trailers to help prevent cross-contamination and to confirm proper liquid flow. You would replace it if the sight glass is cracked, the seal leaks, or the aluminum housing shows corrosion.
