This is a height control valve (leveling valve) for air-ride suspensions on heavy-duty trucks and trailers, primarily designed for SAF Holland CBX40 suspensions. It automatically maintains a constant ride height regardless of load by adding or exhausting air from the air springs. This version features a normally-closed (N/C) zero pressure dump valve—also called an automatic dump—that vents the air bags to lower the trailer quickly when the air supply is removed, such as when uncoupling. It has a low-flow exhaust port to provide a controlled, slower descent instead of a rapid drop. The kit includes four interchangeable lever arms of different lengths, push-to-connect fittings, a plug, and mounting hardware to accommodate various installation geometries.
This kit is specifically designed for SAF Holland CBX40 suspensions post-09/02/2012. While mechanically it can be installed on many air-ride systems using a standard 3/8" push-to-connect setup and universal mounting, correct ride height control depends on matching lever length and valve geometry to the axle and frame. Verify your suspension manufacturer's specification before use on other brands. It is a universal 'MAX-VALVE' design but is validated for the listed Holland application.
