It is designed to put out Class A (ordinary combustibles like wood, paper, trash), Class B (flammable liquids and gases), and Class C (energized electrical) fires. Such extinguishers are commonly required by DOT regulations in commercial trucks and are also used in shops, warehouses, and other locations. Replace or recharge the unit immediately after any use, if the pressure gauge falls out of the green zone, or if the cylinder is damaged or past its 6- or 12-year hydrostatic test interval.
