It uses a 12-volt electrical signal to raise or lower the lift axle, helping to reduce tire wear and improve fuel economy when the extra axle isn’t needed. The valve is compact, electrically actuated, and can be retrofitted to existing EBS setups. After installation, a brake system calculation and an end-of-line procedure may be required; the lift axle function will not work unless the power cable is properly connected.
