Friction rating is 20K. Verify your axle uses the Fruehauf XEM3 (also called XEM) brake before ordering. A 23,000 lb version of this shoe (4515X3 with 23K rating) also exists but is not this kit.

It includes two pre-lined shoes and the necessary mounting hardware to service one wheel end. The kit works with a 16.5-inch brake drum and uses 7-inch wide shoes rated for 20,000 lb axles. You replace these shoes when the friction material wears thin, or when you see scoring, cracking, or reduced braking performance during inspection.
