This is a thermistor face plate (socket kit) used in tank trailer overfill protection systems. It provides the electrical connection for a thermistor sensor that detects liquid level to prevent overfilling during loading. The kit includes a green vinyl-capped socket with 4 J-slots and 10 pins, along with a ground wire. It is typically replaced when the socket contacts become worn or corroded, which can cause faulty sensor readings.
