It connects the emergency air line from the tractor to the trailer, supplying air to release the spring brakes. The swivel design rotates up to 180 degrees for easy coupling and reduces hose stress during turns, while the swing-away feature allows it to fold nearly flush against the mounting surface when disconnected. This model has a bottom 3/8"-18 NPTF port with a removable plug to keep out dirt and insects, and it extends only 2.5 inches from the mounting surface for a compact, recessed fit.
