Its swivel design rotates 180° to reduce hose stress when turning, and the aluminum body with a cast-in stainless steel wear plate extends only 2.5 inches from the mount—much slimmer than bracket-style gladhands. A built-in stopper plug on the bottom port keeps dirt and bugs out when the trailer is disconnected, while the fixed bottom port allows a direct nylon tubing connection to the hose assembly. Replace a worn or leaking gladhand when the seal is damaged, the stopper fails, or the wear plate shows deep grooving that prevents a solid air-tight connection.
