The Gunite 3710X is a brake drum designed for the steer axle of heavy-duty trucks. It has a 16.50-inch diameter and 5.00-inch width, providing the friction surface for the brake shoes. When the brakes are applied, the shoes press against the inner surface of the drum to slow the vehicle. This drum wears over time and should be replaced when it reaches the minimum thickness, cracks, or becomes out-of-round.
Fits many Mack trucks as a front steer axle drum. Verify bolt pattern (10 holes, 11.25" bolt circle), pilot diameter (8.78"), and overall depth (9.04") for your specific axle.
