It continuously monitors system pressure and activates the compressor's unloader mechanism when pressure reaches the cut-out setting (around 120 PSI), stopping the compressor to prevent over-pressurization. When pressure drops to the cut-in point (approximately 105 PSI), the governor allows the compressor to resume pumping, keeping air tanks within a safe operating range. This aftermarket D-2 governor has 1/8-inch NPT ports and can be direct-mounted to the compressor or installed remotely.
