It replaces the spring brake section of a Type 24 brake chamber, which is commonly used on truck and trailer axles. The kit includes the spring brake housing, diaphragm, and clamp, and is installed when the existing spring brake leaks or fails, often without needing to replace the entire service chamber. A piggyback chamber combines the parking/emergency spring brake with the service brake in one unit, and this kit is for the spring brake portion only.
