It has a 1/2-inch inner diameter hose with a 3/8-inch fixed male pipe thread (MPT) fitting on one end and a 3/8-inch swivel MPT fitting on the other, making it easy to install without twisting the hose. The hose meets SAE J1402 and DOT FMVSS 106 standards and is commonly used to connect air brake components such as spring brake chambers, service chambers, and valves. You replace it when the rubber shows cracks, wear, or leaks that can cause air pressure loss.
