This is a heavy-duty Scotseal X-Treme wheel hub oil seal, manufactured by SKF (CR Seals). It is a unitized, hand-installable seal that retains wheel-end lubricant and keeps out road contamination, even on worn spindles. The seal uses an HNBRX outer material for extreme heat resistance and an EPDM inner lip that conforms to spindle wear. It is commonly replaced during wheel bearing service or when oil leaks appear at the hub.
