It connects 1/4" outside diameter DOT nylon tubing to a 1/8" NPT male threaded port. The swivel design allows the body to rotate after the threads are tightened, so you can align the elbow perfectly with the incoming air line—preventing kinks and strain on the tubing. It is used in air brake, air suspension, cab-leveling, and other secondary air circuits where a compact, angled connection is needed.
