It uses a Teflon inner tube with a stainless steel braided cover to handle extreme temperatures from -65°F to 450°F. The hose is fitted with 5/8-18 female SAE 45° flare swivels on each end for a leak-free swivel connection. It should be replaced when the stainless braid shows wear, the inner tube cracks, or air leaks develop, often during compressor service.
