It releases air from the suspension air bags to lower the trailer for loading or coupling, and automatically resets when pressure is reapplied. The valve is sold without fittings, so separate air line fittings must be purchased or reused. It is a direct aftermarket replacement for Hendrickson OEM valves VS-25223 and VS-25224.
