BOLT ON GLADHAND EMER.

A bolt-on emergency gladhand (red) used in the air brake system of heavy-duty trucks and trailers. It serves as the coupling point for the emergency (supply) air line from the tractor to the trailer, allowing the trailer's spring brakes to release and the air supply to flow. The bolt-on design mounts directly to a bracket or panel without an additional mounting plate. Replace when the rubber seal becomes cracked or the aluminum casting is damaged to prevent air leaks.
