It secures the U-joint bearing caps to the yoke on a driveshaft to keep everything aligned and transmitting power smoothly. You replace these straps and bolts when they show signs of wear, stretching, or corrosion, or any time you service the U-joints, because loose or failed hardware can let a driveshaft come apart and cause major damage. The kit includes two curved straps and four M12 bolts.
