It mounts in the cargo tank manhole and uses an optical prism to sense when liquid reaches the full level, sending a signal to the loading‑rack overfill protection system to automatically stop the fill. The probe is designed as a direct replacement for Civacon and Scully 5‑wire optic systems and is typically replaced when the prism becomes clouded, damaged, or the sensor fails. It features a dual‑prism seal for reliable, long‑life service in harsh cargo environments.
