This is an output shaft seal for Muncie power take-off (PTO) units. It seals the shaft where it exits the PTO housing, preventing oil leaks and keeping out dirt and moisture. A worn or leaking seal can cause fluid loss and PTO damage, so it should be replaced at the first sign of seepage. Commonly used on dump trucks, service trucks, and equipment with hydraulic systems driven by a PTO.
