ISOLATOR

This is a fuel tank strap insulator (also called an isolator) that sits between the tank and its mounting bracket. It cushions the fuel tank against road vibration and chassis flex, helping prevent metal-to-metal contact that can cause wear, noise, or tank leaks. Replace it if the original rubber is cracked, compressed, or missing. Typically used on Freightliner trucks with 23-inch fuel tank brackets.
