It secures the equalizer beam assembly on Reyco Granning multi-leaf trailer suspensions, such as the Model 86/88. The nut clamps the equalizer bolt and bushings, allowing the tandem axles to pivot. Replace it when threads are stripped, the locking insert is worn, or during a full equalizer rebuild—failure can cause shifting suspension hardware and uneven tire wear.
